How does the quality of movies on a compact digital camera compare to a digital camcorder?
I'm thinking of buying a Panasonic Lumix 6MP camera. Is the movie mode with sound on a digital camera any good? How does it compare with the movies shot on a digital camcorder? Picture quality and sound? I ask this because I'm going on a long trip and it would be nice if I only have to take one thing with me instead of two.
BigCol65: Thanks for your answer. I've looked up the Fuji camera you described and it looks quite large (SLR). Ideally, I'd like a compact camera which I can fit in my pocket.
