How to add a video as your desktop background on a mac? Please give me videos or good instructions how... But I don't want to have to install any software...
Your reluctance of downloading any software creates quite a conundrum because Mac OS X does not natively support moving backgrounds. Meaning there is no way in the system preferences to put a movie as a background.
You can, however, run the screensaver on the desktop layer. This can be done with a widget like Wallsaver:

It can also be done as by changing a property using Terminal.

So this is pretty cool, right? Plays your screensaver as a background!
Here's where it gets complicated. Screensavers are built on the Quartz platform. If you wanted a play a QuickTime movie as a background, you can create a Quartz composition by using the Quartz Composer, available in the developer tools off of your installation disk. Save the resulting file ~/Library/Screensavers and Wallsaver can run it in the background.
