One Of The Original Six
Toronto Maple Leafs is one of the members of the Original Six of the National Hockey League. The team was founded in 1917. Fans have been patronizing the team since it was founded. Leafs tickets have been selling like pancakes as enthusiasts want to watch the games. There is a reason behind the madness. The team has 13 championships to brag about. They have 11 Stanley Cups to brag about. Though the team did fall into a seemingly losing curse. After their last Stanley Cup win in 1967, the team seemed to have undergone a hiatus. Despite that, the fans persevered.
Despite not winning a Cup, the team did not fail to make their fans enjoy the game. Avid Leafs ticket holders were always treated to great games. The arena where the team plays also makes the experience worthwhile.
The Maple Leafs Garden was the home of the Leafs for 68 years. The team won their first Cup in 1931, the year they first played in the arena. In 1999, the Leafs transferred home to Air Canada Centre. The new arena provided more pleasure to watching the game. Leafs ticket patrons had great views of the games.
The new millennium was a new start for the Leafs. {That year, the Leafs won their first division title in 37 years. The first American General Manager, Brian Burke was hired in 2008. Burke changed the roster of the team. He traded most of their known players to acquire new ones. There are those who were not happy by the decision of the general manager. However, all of those were done so that the team can improve even more in their plays and once again snag another Stanley Cup.
