When the musicians have all finished their parts, it now comes down to your "inner engineer" to put it all together. A solid quality mixer is the tool along your studio monitors are your most essential pieces. The more separation and influence that you can have on each track and the part it plays in the overall production is tantamount to a satisfying result.
